Makeup hauls and gifts wise this birthday has been my dream come true so far. I could not believe when I got MAC Fleur Power blush from my fabulous twin Lee and this lipstick is from another lovely friend. This pink lipstick has been on my wishlist for a long long time! Owing to our awesome kolkata MAC I could never get it in stock and my friend fulfilled my wish. Thankuu muuaahh! Confused on hearing “a pink lipstick”? what? Can’t hear you..speak louder please! Ok fine fine no more drama I am talking about MAC Speak Louder and here is the review and swatches.

MAC describes Speak Louder as a clean poppy blue pink and it comes in Cremesheen finish. The color is mindblowing in one word. Coming to description, even though MAC says it’s a blue based pink it does not really show its cool undertones that much like other cool shades like Pink Pigeon. It is undoubtedly a clean, slightly bordering on hot, vivid attractive pink. It appears even raspberry pink sometimes in warmer lighting or on medium skin tones. It can be worn comfortably with both casual and traditional attire and scores brownie points for both day and night wear.

The lipstick is awesome in pigmentation and gives its true color on my lips in a single swipe.

The finish is one of the lesser hyped ones and one of my favorites- Cremesheen. I loveee lustres and cremesheens! Though some cremesheens are drying I have heard but this is by no means so and applies quite easily and smoothly on my bare lips. I do not have dry lips though. The lipstick sits on my lips in a slightly glossy finish which I am just mad about.

The lasting power is not as much as other MAC finishes like satins or mattes but it does last through a good 4 hours and fades gracefully leaving behind an attractive pink tint. I really don’t mind touching up.

The lipstick comes in our standard MAC black with silver tube packaging with a tight click-cap which makes it easy to carry around.

• The color is a clean slightly hot beautiful pink which I believe any Indian complexion would surely rock!
• Classy travel friendly MAC packaging. I am never bored with it!
• Madly pigmented, shows bullet color on lips in a swipe and covers lip pigmentation.
• It is not drying on my lips and does not cling to dry areas
• The lipstick lasts easily through 4 hours on my lips and leaves behind a pretty tint
• Yummy vanilla fragrance

The cons of the Cremesheen Lipstick:

• None at all for me but for the ladies who do not prefer Cremesheen finishes that might pose a slight problem!

Do I recommend? Mac Speak Louder Lipstick is definitely one pink lipstick from MAC which does require you to speak louder in its praise. A slightly hot, bright pink which is enough to capture everyone’s attention without being too OTT and is perfect to coordinate with different outfits and extremely versatile for wearing during both day and night. I would suggest this pink lipstick as a must-have in your kitty if you don’t go for neon pinks like impassioned yet want to make a statement. Definitely recommended!
